Thinking of Buying Some Property in the Mountains

Saturday, June 22nd, 2019

My brother and I went out to the mountains this weekend and looked at a log cabin up there. It was about twenty minutes out of Asheville and pretty close to a couple of the ski resorts. The cabin was in a sorry state and it was not really that big of a part of the sales pitch. The land was what was for sale. That was about forty acres. Most of it was forested, but part of it had been used for Christmas tree farming. I talked to a guy who does tree removal in Asheville NC about some of the trees which would have to go if we bought the land. (more…)

How to Find Bed Bugs

Saturday, June 22nd, 2019

I spent the day learning how to figure out if you have bed bugs or not. That is a big deal to my boss. He has a boutique hotel on the Lower East Side of Manhattan and the last thing that he wants is for one of this guests to go on the Internet and tell the world that he has bed bugs. That would really ruin your business. So when someone checks out we look the room over and if we find them we have a guy who does pest control in NYC. At any rate you need a black light to detect the bed bugs, or an ultraviolet light source. I have a flashlight and a magnifying glass which I use. You can look for the signs of their activity too. They bite people obviously and that leaves a blood stain, albeit a very small one that you could easily mess. They also leave their poop on the bed. (more…)

Companies for Outstanding Party Entertainment

Saturday, June 22nd, 2019

I am going to be hosting a party soon, and I am going to be having a lot of people over to the party, so it is pretty important that I make sure to arrange everything such that it is a great time for everyone. I have been reading about my options for event entertainment ideas and I still have not made up my mind as to what I want to do with that yet. I know I want to hire something a bit out of the ordinary, because I feel like some things are overdone when it comes to parties, and I want to make this party one that will be remembered for a long time.

One of the ways that I will be able to personally make sure that the party is one that is going to be remembered for a long time is by making excellent food for the party. (more…)

Gaining a Diverse Selection of Skills

Saturday, June 22nd, 2019

I’ve been installing shower doors in Union County NJ for about a week now. Looking for a new job in this market has been surprisingly easy, especially considering the fact that I have very little experience in construction work. Despite this, my new boss has been more than willing to help me. He’s given me near free run in multiple projects which has allowed me to practice my skills while focusing on those that I feel I need to work on. On top of this he makes suggestions as to what I should work on as well and the combination of these approaches has been huge in helping me gain understanding.

I would have never predicted that I would be doing this sort of work. The vast majority of the type of work I’ve done in the past has always been technical, electronics or customer service. Before, I would have considered my skill at working with my hands fair at best. I was always apprehensive whenever approaching a project that would require that sort of technical know how but ever since I’ve begun working here I’ve improved drastically. (more…)

A Horse is Not a Pet

Saturday, June 22nd, 2019

With Churchill Downs being just a stone’s throw away, the topic of horse racing, racehorse trainers and everything horses is a subject that is inescapable come Derby time. The city is saturated in it and yet there are few people you can even consider an expert on the subject. It’s a shame because horses are awesome creatures; I grew up with them to some extent myself. For five years I went to a camp that was all about learning how to care for a horse, riding horses and camping out with them in the wilds. It was such a fun, exploratory time as a kid.

As I grew older I lost interest in horses. Don’t get me wrong, they’re still fun to ride but to actually own one and to have to care for one is more than an expensive venture. (more…)

I Needed Some Trees Removed

Saturday, June 22nd, 2019

My husband received an unexpected promotion from work, and that was the break we needed to where we didn’t have to live week by week. With his new signing bonus, we were able to pay off a couple of bills, and we ended up consolidating everything else for one low payment every month. I wanted to do something really nice for him because he had worked hard to get us to this point. I contacted a tree service in asheville nc to see if they would give me a free estimate on removing a few trees. (more…)

Moving to District 10 is a Dream Come True

Friday, February 22nd, 2019

I love looking at new condo developments on my computer. I usually look because I am bored, but I was thrilled when my husband told me that he wanted us to move to District 10 because of a job transfer he really wanted to take advantage of. He would be in training for this new position at his current location, so we had time to look and find what we truly wanted. After looking at so many different developments, I knew that Sloane Residences in Singapore is the one for us. When I showed all the information to my husband, he readily agreed with me.

The Sloane Residences is located on Balmoral Road. In fact, it is situated right in the middle of it. What is so appealing to me about it is that it is a mixture of both old homes and new, and it is just appealing. Even though it is in the middle of everything, it does not look or feel crowded because of how it is laid out. It has an open feel to it, and that too is appealing to me. (more…)

Cleanliness is a Great Characteristic to Have in a Mate

Wednesday, May 2nd, 2018

I was looking online for someone to come and help me clean up my apartment after I moved all of my things out of it. I was going to be moving in with my boyfriend and he had everything that we needed in a living space, plus it was bigger. I knew that moving in with him was going to make a lot more sense than him moving into my small place. I looked up professional cleaning services in Singapore to see what kind of companies were out there. (more…)

Planning Ahead is a Good Idea

Wednesday, May 2nd, 2018

My parents never taught me about money or talked to me about how much they made and what bills were. As soon as I got to college I went and applied for many credit cards and got the free t-shirts that they gave you when you applied. Before I knew it, I was over my head in credit card debt and I never had anyone talk to me about why I should or should not get one. I wish my parents did. When my son told me he wanted to pay JC physics tuition I knew that I was going to have to talk to him. He did not know that I had to sit down and talk to him about money. (more…)

Finding More Homes for Our Pets

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2018

I had to argue that we needed to buy real Instagram followers from a legit company online in order to make our pet adoption agency a successful endeavor. We’re not in it for the money, although we do charge a small amount of money for each adoption in order to keep the lights on and the animals fed. What we needed is to get more people to see the potential pets we had to offer and to get those people in the door and adopting the furry little creatures. My bosses expressed some skepticism about using Instagram in the first place.

It’s absolutely vital to get the word out, however, and I convinced them to give it a shot. (more…)

I Wasn’t Used to Major City Living

Friday, March 9th, 2018

When I first moved to San Antonio, I felt like a fish out of water. I had been raised in a rural area, and nothing ever happened there as far as crime goes. Everyone left their front doors unlocked and their keys in their cars, so you can imagine the culture shock that was waiting for me in Texas. I admit that I was afraid to even watch the news at first because the lead stories were so awful. I knew that I was going to look into ADT in San Antonio before my first full week was even over.

Back home, I was not afraid to take on a bull or even go bungee jumping off one of the tallest bridges in the state. (more…)

I Feel Safer with My Security System

Friday, March 9th, 2018

I wanted to get more information on ADT in Tampa because I just felt it was time have an added layer of protection to my house. I am a single woman who lives alone, and I know that makes me more vulnerable in the eyes of a criminal. Also, just reading the paper every morning over my coffee shows me how desperate some people are getting. I personally like to put in an honest day’s work for anything I have, but I know that there are a lot of people out there who do not share my same work ethic.

Reading about the different crimes that happen in our city can have one of two effects. Some people may feel they are living in a bubble and crime cannot touch them. (more…)

How to Really Get a Rental or Leased Property Cleaned for a New Tenant or Lessee

Wednesday, March 7th, 2018

I have seen some awful messes left by tenants who move. If you have any experience as a landlord, you know that even what you consider the best tenant can be a dirty person. They might never clean their apartments or condos. They may smoke. They make cook foods where the odors seem to seep into the very structures of the buildings. Plus, some people may lack some good hygiene principles. This is why I do a no questions asked professional cleanup when someone moves. I use a company that does post tenancy cleaning for Singapore rental and leased properties. They do a fantastic job of eradicating any dirt, grime or odors leftover from the previous occupant of a rental property that I own.

I am amazed at how well they can clean a place. (more…)

My Daughter Appreciates Physics More Now

Tuesday, March 6th, 2018

My daughter has told me countless times that she is thankful that she is our child. She has told us that we have been the best role models, making her believe in herself when she didn’t even think that was possible. Last month, she told me that she was extremely grateful that we convinced her to try physics tuition when she was in high school. I am not putting any negativity out there about her teacher, because I know that her manner of teaching is effective for some people. However, it left a lot to be desired for my daughter.

She cannot stand to be in a class where the lessons are taught in a flat monotone. She listened to her teacher, but she was missing so much because she was only getting the basics. She wanted to get to the meat of physics, and she was unhappy that she would not get that until university. (more…)

I Helped a Friend Move This Morning

Thursday, December 28th, 2017

I tried to talk my way out of it, but in the end he managed to bribe me into doing it. He promised to buy me lunch and supper and to give me a case of beer, which I told him would be something good and something expensive. I did not feel bad doing this because this lucky fellow has a rich mother who is willing to pay for the down payment on a nice condo at a new place called the New Futura condo in Singapore and this is the sort of place where I could not even dream about living in at this point in my life. The place is really quite awesome and if you like to swim laps like I do this place would really make you very jealous like I was. (more…)

I Had a Makeover After My Divorce

Thursday, November 30th, 2017

I went through a pretty rough divorce and was not feeling too good about myself. My ex had said some very hurtful things to me, and I believed them at first. I took on all the blame for the divorce, but my friends quickly put an end to that. Friends are supposed to lift you up, but my friends were doing more than that. They were showing me the truth, and I believed them. I stopped my pity party, and I decided to hit life head on. The first thing I did was look for a manicure service in Singapore, because my ex had the nerve to call me frumpy looking.

While I will never win a beauty pageant, I knew that I still looked good for my age. I never had a nice hairstyle or manicured nails because he was too insecure about his own self. I did not want to do anything that would lead him to a jealous rage, so I just kept my own style very simple and plain. Those days are over now, and the first thing I wanted was to have sexy nails. I’m Having a Great Time with My Parents in a New Place

Friday, November 24th, 2017

I moved with my parents to another country when I was just 17. It has been a lot of fun, but I have also worried about what I would do after I graduated from high school while living here. As soon as I graduated, dad told me that I needed to find work, so I became employed by a company that offers regular cleaning services in Singapore to rental companies. It keeps me busy and I can handle the work easily. I really enjoy being able to save most of my money so that I can put it toward my future college degree. My dad is really pleased that I am keeping busy and being proactive about saving for college.

When my parents first told me that we were moving, I was devastated. I had made so many new friends in school, and I really did not want to leave them. I also have a best friend who I have been friends with since elementary school. I wondered if I would ever see her again. My father explained that his job overseas would only be for 3 years. He told me that I was too young to stay back in the US without my them being with me. Both sets of my grandparents have passed away, so staying with them was not possible. Neither one of my parents were comfortable with the thought of me staying with a friend’s parents while my own parents were away.

At some pointed, I resigned myself to the fact that we would be moving. I was excited, but I was also scared because I did not know what teens in Singapore would be like. However, the first week that I went to school there, I made lots of new friends. All the other students are so friendly. Everyone was helpful and knew that I might be scared. I was only there at that school for one year before I graduated.

I Have to Get Some Extra Money

Friday, November 24th, 2017

Of course this was not something I really wanted to do, I would be much happier if I were spending my spare time out with my friends having a good time. However this is about my long term plans and the money that I am going to need to make them happen. So I am working a full time job during the day and at night I am a part time helper in Singapore. I work for this cleaning service and mostly what I do is the hard stuff. The other guy gets started while I am taking things in the building and then I empty all of the trash cans and put them in a big rolling trash can that you dump into the dumpster. It is a poor paying job, but then I am only doing it for extra money. I am trying to get them to give me a lot of hours on the weekend, since that is when I have the time to do it and I will not be so tired getting up in the morning. (more…)

My Sister Was Arrested for Possession

Monday, August 14th, 2017

No one was more surprised than me when my sister was arrested for drug possession. I guess her close friends knew that she was using, but none of us in the family were aware until she was charged with a felony. She was ashamed and embarrassed, but that did not stop me from reaching out to her. I knew that we needed to get her a great drug lawyer in Latham NY because she is a divorced mother of two children, and I was worried that her ex would use this against her.

That was not the only reason though. I realized that she had a problem that she had been doing her best to hide from the rest of us, and I wanted her to beat the addiction that had her under its control. She allowed me to hire her a lawyer. I wanted one that was going to focus on her case and fight for her rather than a public defender who was probably overworked and juggling a ton of cases. (more…)
