I Had a Makeover After My Divorce

I went through a pretty rough divorce and was not feeling too good about myself. My ex had said some very hurtful things to me, and I believed them at first. I took on all the blame for the divorce, but my friends quickly put an end to that. Friends are supposed to lift you up, but my friends were doing more than that. They were showing me the truth, and I believed them. I stopped my pity party, and I decided to hit life head on. The first thing I did was look for a manicure service in Singapore, because my ex had the nerve to call me frumpy looking.

While I will never win a beauty pageant, I knew that I still looked good for my age. I never had a nice hairstyle or manicured nails because he was too insecure about his own self. I did not want to do anything that would lead him to a jealous rage, so I just kept my own style very simple and plain. Those days are over now, and the first thing I wanted was to have sexy nails. I was tired of looking average when I knew I could be so much more. That is how much my friends’ talks helped me.

I booked an appointment for a manicure as well as a pedicure, knowing that I was also going on a shopping spree when I was done. I wanted to get some sandals that would show off my new toe art. The manicurist was very nice and extremely professional, and she did a fantastic job of turning my nails from plain Jane to something very sexy and sultry. A shopping trip and a visit to the hair salon completed my look, and I have to admit that I do look like a million bucks now. This is definitely his loss and my gain!
