I Wasn’t Used to Major City Living

When I first moved to San Antonio, I felt like a fish out of water. I had been raised in a rural area, and nothing ever happened there as far as crime goes. Everyone left their front doors unlocked and their keys in their cars, so you can imagine the culture shock that was waiting for me in Texas. I admit that I was afraid to even watch the news at first because the lead stories were so awful. I knew that I was going to look into ADT in San Antonio before my first full week was even over.

Back home, I was not afraid to take on a bull or even go bungee jumping off one of the tallest bridges in the state. Those are things I was familiar with though. I was not familiar with criminals, home invasions, thefts for drug money, and so many other things. I knew that the chances of something happening to me were very slim because I just don’t hang out in areas that attract that kind of attention, but I also knew that sort of attention could find itself just about anywhere too.

I just figured I would feel a lot safer if there was a home security system at my house. That way, if someone tried to come in without my permission, the authorities would be notified almost instantly. I looked at different security companies and realized that ADT was the best of the best. They are the leaders nationwide with over six million people relying on their equipment as well as their call center, so I knew that both had to be top notch. Now that my system has been installed on the doors and windows here, I feel a lot more secure. I am also getting a lot more used to the city now too!
