What is a Punta Cana excursion? This may sound like a weird question but I want to drive some points home with the answer. The answer would be very different depending on the source and how honest they are being with you.

If you were to ask the owner or manager of a Punta Cana resort, especially one of the very popular all inclusive resorts, and you gave them a little truth serum before they answered you, you would find out that these resorts really don’t want you to go off and take real excursions as this detracts from their ability to sell all inclusive vacation packages. I know this may sound cynical but I think it is the truth. They also know they have to give you some kind of “excursion” so usually they will offer a very crowded catamaran tour to an offshore island and serve a bunch of alcohol.
